ION group visited our campus in August 2020, there were a total of 5 rounds and the complete process was virtual

Online round: It consists of 4 sections, English, logical, Quantitative aptitude, and coding. In the first 3 sections, around 18 questions were there for 16 mins and in the coding test, 2 questions for 1 hr. The test happened on the AMCAT platform and the questions were easy.

Finally, 84 students made it for the next technical round

Technical round: This round basically revolves around OOP concepts, one should be thorough with every bit of OOP. Then he asked me to write code for an asymmetric tree, that was easy.

Out of 84, 28 students were shortlisted for virtual ION day.

ION DAY: This basically consists of 3 rounds again

  1. Case study and technical interview: He started the discussion from my projects then it heads over to one case study. I wasn’t able to solve the case properly, the interviewer was really helpful, he keeps on asking me simpler questions and giving me hints through which I can reach the proper approach. After this, the interviewer asked me some basic DS and algorithm-based questions. As the process was virtual, I don’t know the exact count of students who clear this round
  2. HR Round: The interviewer started with some common HR questions like my likes, dislikes, my family, friends, and hobbies, etc. Then he showed me 3 pictures and ask me to draw some conclusions from it. This was the most important part of the interview. After this, he asked me to develop a car for him. This was the most tricky part for me as I belong to E&TC department, I wasn’t aware of some computer related concepts. You should be well acquainted with SDLC concepts. Then discussion headed over to questions like why ion, my further study plans, etc.
  3. Interview with country head of ION group: It is a team round of 3 people with country head. Before this round, the company asked me to fill a form consisting of some HR questions. This round started from an introduction then he asked us some questions based on the form

And finally, he gave us a chance to ask him a question.

That’s all, finally, on next day 6 students got a job offer from ION group.
