Infosys Interview Experience for DSE 2022

I got this Pre Placement Interview offer from Infosys on the basis of my performance in HackWithInfy off-campus drive conducted by Infosys. The interview was scheduled for 40 minutes virtually on the MS Teams platform. All information regarding the interview was conveyed via e-mail.

Started by greeting each other followed by clicking a snapshot with id proof. I had to hold an Id card (UIDAI) in front of the camera. He made me super comfortable before officially beginning the interview. He made me clear that we had limited time and so he want my answers to be crisp and clear. Overall the questions were about my resume.

• Introduce yourself in 5 words (do not use any sentence).
• How can you say that you are a team leader?

Ok. Let’s come to your resume. 

• Discussion on Project 1
• Why did you decide to do this project?
• What are the technologies you have used in it?
• Discussion on API, etc.
• How do you parse JSON?
• Discussion on Project 2
• What have you used for authentication.
• Difference between authentication and authorization.
• How do you keep data secure?
• Do you know any other authentication technique?
• How will you resolve conflict in your team?
• Your views on the digital scenario in India.
• How can technology be useful and harmful?

[ Few more questions on the web and technology, in general, were asked. Also, there were some questions where I was given certain scenarios and was asked my opinion on them. ]

Ok. Let’s come to programming languages that you are familiar with.

I said C++. He said programming language doesn’t matter as long as your logic is correct.

He gave a question and said will see if we have time then we will do one more question.

I was told to present my screen and code.

• Find the product of three numbers without using any multiplication operator or any function.
• Write a program to find the sum of digits.

These were two coding questions that I had to code in front.

• Suppose you are administrating Twitter, how will you recognize a bot account?
• Do you want to ask me anything?

Thoughts and Tips: The interviewer was super chill and very interactive. Just keep calm and talk to your interviewer. Be confident and everything will go well. Whenever you feel stuck don’t hesitate to ask. Don’t let there be an awkward silence while coding. Talk to the interviewer. Ask about the test cases, etc. Speak up about the approach you are thinking while coding. Be interactive and cheerful, you will do well.
