Infosys Certification Interview Experience
In Infosys Certification 2020, there were a total of 3 rounds.
All the rounds are elimination rounds. The allowed languages are Python or Java only. At the time of registration, one of the languages needs to be chosen.
Round 1 Online Round (MCQs): The online test has 3 sections. There is negative marking in this section.
- Programming MCQ: (Java/Python) – 20 questions
- DBMS: 20 questions
- Aptitude: 20 questions
Programming questions are based on inheritance, polymorphism. The topics in DBMS focus on SQL queries, joins, identifying the normal form. The difficulty level of questions ranges from medium to hard. Practice questions from sample tests given on InfyTQ portal.
Round 2 Online Round (MCQs + Programming): The duration of the test is 3 hours. The test consists of 20 MCQs and 2 Hands-On Programming questions and there is no negative marking.
The MCQs are mainly on the concepts of OOPS, SQL, and DBMS.
There are 2 programming questions. Mainly they have based on arrays and strings parsing. The difficulty level ranges from easy to medium. There are sample tests available on InfyTQ platform in the Certification section. The complete test was similar to the sample test and one must practice the sample test as it will help to get a better idea about the type of questions and the coding platform. Most of the questions are similar to the ones in sample tests.
If you score 65% or above, you will be eligible for a job interview at Infosys.
Round 3 (Technical + HR Interview): This round was of about 20 – 30 minutes. The questions were mostly based on the skills written in the resume. In my case, it was Python, C++, and SQL.

- Explain the four pillars of OOPS.
- What are the different types of keys in DBMS?
- What is the use of virtual keyword?
- File handling in C++.
This round basically tests the knowledge of core subjects like OOPS, DBMS, CN and OS. Almost all the questions are based on theoretical concepts.
