Here we have

tan 3A = cot (A – 30°)

cot (90 – 3A) = cot (A – 30°) { tan (90° – θ) = cot θ }

90 – 3A = A – 30°

90 + 30 = A + 3A

120 = 4A

A = 30

So, the value of A is 30°
