IBPS PO 2023 Exam Date Out: IBPS PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for the selection of Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainee posts in the Participating Banks. This exam is conducted every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) since 2011 and 2023 will be its 13th edition. IBPS PO Notification 2023 is expected to be released in the first week of August 2023. This year, IBPS PO Prelims 2023 will be conducted on 23rd, 30th September, and 01st October 2023, and the IBPS PO 2023 Mains Exam will be conducted on 05th November 2023.

IBPS CRP PO/MT CRP-XIII 2023 exam will be conducted for the selection of candidates by 11 public banks. The IBPS PO Exam is conducted in online mode only in various exam centers across India.

IBPS PO Syllabus and pattern for the exams are released with the official update from IBPS. The selection process is comprised of 3 stages i.e. Preliminary and Mains Exam followed by an Interview.  The patterns and marks for each of the stages are different. Whereas the Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and the score is not counted for the final merit list, based on the marks secured in the Main exam, they will be called for an interview, and the total score obtained in the Main exam and Interview sum up to produce the final result for selection.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification :

The candidate should have a graduate degree from any of the recognized universities is eligible to apply for the IBPS PO Exam 2023. also, the candidates who have the equivalent qualification recognized by central government is also eligible for application of the IBPS PO Exam. Including this, a candidate should must have a valid mark-sheet/passing certificate on the day of applying for this exam.

B. Nationality :

The candidate is eligible for applying the IBPS PO Exam if they are

  1. Citizen of India
  2. The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. Tibetan refugees who arrived in India prior to January 1st, 1962, with the purpose of establishing a long-term residence.
  4. Individuals of Indian Origin (PIO) who have immigrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries such as Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Malawi, with the aim of permanently settling in India.

Note: Applicants who belong to any one the 2, 3, 4 category should must have certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India.

C. Age Limit :

The minimum age of a candidate will not be less than 20 years, and the maximum age will not be more than 30 years (Age must be calculated according to a particular date mentioned in the official notification of the IBPS PO exam 2023).

C. Interview: 

Based on the score obtained in the Main examination, candidates will be shortlisted, and subsequently be called for an interview, conducted by the Participating Banks and IBPS. This part of the stage carries 100 marks and candidates have to score at least 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates) to get on the merit list. The IBPS will announce the merit list on its official website after the interview round is over.

D. Scores Counting Methods in Different Stages of Exam:

  • Penalty for wrong answers applies to both the Preliminary exam and the Online mode of the Main examination. For each wrong question is given by the candidate one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. If a question is left unanswered, there will be no penalty for that particular question.
  • The score obtained by giving a correct answer by each of the candidates of different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for calculations.
  • In the final merit list, the candidates are shortlisted based on the combined final score obtained by the candidates in the Mains Examination and Interview; the weightage (ratio) of Main Exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

Previous Year Cut-off of IBPS PO Exams:

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each section of tests of Preliminary exam and Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for an interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available for the post of Probationary Officers (PO) / Management Trainee, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for the final merit list.

IBPS PO 2023 Salary

The inhand salary of an IBPS Probationary Officer is Rs. 52,000 to 55,000 along with other neumrous benefits and allowances. The initial basic pay is Rs. 36,000 according to the updated salary.

IBPS PO Exam Centre

The IBPS PO exam is conducted in online mode across the centers all over India. The candidates has the freedom that they can select their desired center choices in the online application form. but in case of unavailability, the IBPS can allot the vacant centers to the candidates appearing in the IBPS PO Exam.

IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training

Candidates should must download the admit card from the official website of IBPS PO and print that in hard copy as admit card will not be sent by the post from IBPS.
