I_Hack 2018 – Hackathon by Entrepreneurship Cell IIT Bombay

At I Hack 2018, we bring together India’s best coders, developers, designers, innovators, creators and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. I Hack is geared up for those who are passionate about building, designing and innovating. It is a 48 Hr event where the enthusiasts meet, develop and compete in the product prototyping competition. We encourage all kinds of ideas, whether it’s a proof of concept, looks-like-works-like model or a prototype.

Note: Each Team can register for a single track and in case of Multiple entries, the first registration would be accepted.

Rules and Regulations

Hardware Category :
Every team participating in the Hardware Track must use/include Texas Instruments microprocessor/controller in their prototype. Every important component used must be disclosed before coming at the hackathon.
Prototyping facilities will be available for both students and professionals free of cost upto a certain limit. All the teams must inform beforehand the prototyping facilities which will be required for the hackathon.
Any team can order a fixed budget of TI Components ($60) worth free of cost. If it exceeds the amount, they are liable to pay the remaining cost. Items covered under fixed budget are marked separately.
E-Cell IIT Bombay reserves the right to change and cancel any point/clause/prize any time.
Not everyone who is registering for the hackathon will be invited to IIT Bombay. Based on the inputs provided in the registration form, selected teams would be invited.
All the teams must submit the list of items (including TI components worth $60 free of cost) before 19th January, 2018 if they are bringing with them at the venue for the hackathon. Any non disclosed items would not be allowed in the event. Teams however can bring their own laptops/mouse/keyboards without disclosure.
Each team must submit the preferred list of items in the registration form itself. If any changes are there for TI components, Teams must communicate to us at ihack@ecell.in on or before 22nd January, 2018.

Software Category rules :
Software category includes building webpages,app on IOS, Android or any other platform.
Software category includes the theme Pepipost Track

The teams are free to use any tools and develop any application under the given topics.

Once you have registered for a particular track you will not be allowed to change it. So think twice before opting the track.

Registration Process

All participants must register on or before 23rd January, 2018 on the website www.ecell.in/esummit/ihack/reg.php . Only team participation is allowed at the event. However, individuals can also register on the portal. Selected individuals would then be invited for the finals at IIT Bombay and on the spot teams would be formed. There would be limited on the spot entries on the venue only for IIT Bombay Student teams. Selected Individual entries can make their own team on the spot and attend the hackathon. You can join the selected teams at the event at the event venue.
