The DOM Input Time type Property in HTML DOM is used to return the type of form element of the input Time Field. All the Browsers always returns “time” instead of Internet Explorer and Firefox which returns “text”.


The below program illustrates the time type property in HTML DOM:
Example: This example returns the type of form element of the Time field.

Note: In the example above, Opera, Chrome, and Safari return “time”, while Internet Explorer/Edge and Firefox return “text”.

  • Edge version 12 and above
  • Firefox version 57 and above
  • Opera  version 10 and above
  • Safari version 14.1 and above
