The Input Month value property is used for setting or returning the value of the value attribute of a Month field. The Input Month value attribute can be used for specifying a Month and year for the month field. 

Syntax:

  • For returning the value property:
monthObject.value
  • For setting the value property:
monthObject.value = YYYY-MM

Property Value:

  • YYYY-MM: This values states the year and Month. Here YYYY is the year i.e. 2019 and MM is the month i.e. 03.

Return Value: It returns a string which represents the value for a month field. 

Below program illustrates the Month value property:

Note: In Firefox, the input type=”month” element does not show any date field or calendar.
