HTML | DOM Area hostname Property

The Area hostname property in HTML is used to return the hostname of the current URL. The Location hostname property returns a string which contains the domain name, or the IP address of a URL.
Syntax:

  • It return the Area hostname property.
     areaObject.hostname
  • It is used to set the Area hostname property.
    areaObject.hostname = hostname 

Property Values: It contains single value hostname which specify the hostname of the URL.

Return Value: It returns a string value which represents the domain name of the URL.



Example 1: This example returns the Area hostname Property.
