The DOM Anchor hash Property in HTML DOM is used to set or return the anchor part of the href attribute value. The anchor part is the part of the URL after the hash sign(#).

Syntax:

  • It returns the hash property.
    anchorObject.hash
  • It is used to set the hash property.
    anchorObject.hash = anchorname

Property Values: It contains the value i.e anchorname which is used to specify the anchor part of the URL.

Return value: It returns a string value which represents the anchor part of the URL including the hash sign(#).
