HSBC Interview Experience for Trainee Software Engineer

I had the company conduct its OA in the month of November, it was a national-level assessment which means students all over India participated in it. We had our test on the AON platform so we need to clear aptitude, logical reasoning and technical mcqs then we moved forward with OA. There were following questions asked-

• Reduce to one- we were given N and we need to return the number of operations required to make that N one,  we could perform full operations- choose x such that x<N and N%x==0 or  perform N-1
• Armstrong number.

The students who cleared Oa had to give a value assessment test where in which they asked value-based questions- which anyone could answer if they have a simple understanding of English and some moral values.

We had our interviews scheduled on 21 Jan 2023, It was a pool campus drive where students from different regions of India came to participate.
]There were almost 20 people who came from the company for the complete interview process (TR + HR) on the same day.

15 panels were taken to and those who cleared tr were sent to give hr immediately. Just one thing which I hope you people might pray for is to give your tr early. I am saying this because the students who gave their tr after lunch break had different levels of questions and they were selected if they answered 10/10 questions, but before the break the scenario was different. Just hope you guys get an early slot.

Basically what we observed was that they had a shortage of time and there were approx 220 students so before the break, they were all in different mindsets but after the break, they saw time and started filtering students rigorously. 

The questions asked in the tr were completely from your resume, they scan your resume completely and ask questions from it. Each panel gave a DSA-based question (arrays, linked list, puzzle) which was medium level. 

I myself had read the different experiences of Hr questions grom gfg only but to my surprise, the hr questions asked were very simple and nothing compared to the already described ones. The hr questions asked were-
How was your journey till the 12th?  Which location will you prefer?  How are you feeling?  Why HSBC
