WordPress comes with the default user interface dashboard, but sometimes we made a website for our clients and want to white label the WordPress dashboard to the client’s brand so that it gives a more personalized and less confusing content management system.

What is white labeling the WordPress?

WordPress is a free and open-source Content Management System(CMS) framework. It is the most widely used CMS framework of recent time. But many times people don’t know about white labeling the WordPress dashboard when they are working on the client’s project. You can customize the WordPress dashboard according to their brand and needs.

Clients want an easy and customize dashboard so that he or they will save their time and invest more in the strategies that will grow their business rather than struggling with their themes, plugins, updates, security, and learning how to use WordPress.

White labeling the WordPress admin area allows you to customize the WordPress dashboard according to the client’s or our need by white labeling the WordPress allows you to replace the WordPress logo with your brand and you can also customize the dashboard, what item to hide, and show to the user and create the streamlined interface to your client and user.

How to White label the WordPress admin area 

Let’s see how we can White label the WordPress admin area step by step –

Step 1: For white labeling the WordPress admin area first you have to install and activate the “White Label CMS” plugin in your WordPress website. for installing the plugin hover over the plugin section and then click on the “Add New”.

Step 2: Now search for the “white label CMS” in the search box and then click on “Install Now”.

After installing click on the “Activate” button.

Step 3: After the successful activation of the “White Label CMS” plugin, hover over the setting section and then click on “White Label CMS”.

The dashboard of the “White Label CMS” will look like this and ask for the basic setup, it’s up to you, you can fill it or skip.

Step 4: Here I’m going to fill the details in the columns, you can fill them according to your needs.

After filing the detail click on the “Next” button.

Step 5: Now fill in the client’s branding details such as the client’s name and its brand logo.

And also upload the brand logo of your client by clicking on the upload link.

You can choose the logo from your computer as well as from the media library, where I’m going to choose it from the media library of WordPress.

After choosing the logo click on the “Insert into post” button. The Step is also the same for uploading the logo for the retina logo.

Step 6: After uploading the logo click on the “Save” button.

You have done with the client’s branding part.

Customization of Branding, Logo, Dashboard, and Menus: Now after the above settings, the new wizard will open in which you will get the options of Branding, login, Dashboard, Menu, and Settings. Here you can customize every aspect of the WordPress dashboard according to your need. These 5 settings allow you to fully customize the WordPress dashboard. 

The above two settings are basic settings that will prompt after the installation of the “White Label CMS” plugin. Let’s see the major settings of this plugin one by one.

Branding section: In the branding section, you can replace all the WordPress default branding with your own custom branding. here you can change the logo of WordPress with your logo or change the admin bar logo. 

In the “Branding” section scroll down you will get the “Admin Bar Branding” where you can upload the admin bar logo, Admin Bar Alt Text, Replace Howdy text, and Admin Bar URL.

Step 1: Scroll down you will get the Admin bar branding section where you can upload or choose from the media library of WordPress for the Admin bar logo.

Step 2: You can also change the “Admin Bar Alt Text”, “Replace Howdy Text”, and “Amin Bar URL”.

Step 3: After changing the changes to your custom one never forget to click the “Save” button.

Let’s see how we can customize the “Side Menu Branding“. scroll down you will get the “Side Menu Branding” section where you can change the “Side Menu Image”, “Collapsed Side Menu Image”, “Side Menu Link URL”, and “Side Menu Alt Text”.

Step 1: Upload or choose the Logo from the media library for the “Side Menu Image”, “Collapsed Side Menu Image”. and set the “Side Menu Link URL” and “Side Menu Alt Text”.

Step 2: After that click on the “Save ” button to save all the changes.

Step 3: After clicking on the save changes, all your changes will be saved.

Login section: In the Login section, you can change the logo or replace the logo of WordPress with your custom brand logo that should be of max-width 320px. This will give you the feeling that this website that you have made is completely your as all the WordPress logos will be replaced by your brand logo.

After making all the changes click on the “Save” button.

Dashboard Section: In the dashboard section, you can customize the main WordPress dashboard where you get to see all the details related to your website. This is what everyone will see when they first log in to their WordPress website. It contains the default panels showing the different information of the website.

Many time there is lots of information on the WordPress dashboard and the user feels difficult to understand all this information and what to do with all this stuff.

With the White Label CMS, you can customize the default dashboard easily.

Let’s see how we can customize the WordPress dashboard step by step –

Step 1: Click on the “Dashboard”, all the settings related to the dashboard will open on your screen, where you customize all the dashboard panel settings according to your need.

Step 2: Make all the changes according to your requirement for your client or for your own website. after making all the changes click on the “Save” button.

You can customize the whole dashboard as per your need by exploring all the settings under the “Dashboard” section.

After the Customization of the WordPress Dashboard

Menus Section: By default, WordPress comes with the default menus such as the Post, Media, comments, Plugins, Tools, Settings, etc, and also if we are using any plugins on our website these plugins also add their menu on the menu bar and make then extra long.

but under the “Menus” section you can modify the menu bar according to your requirements or as per the client’s need.

In the White Label CMS, you can just check which menu you want to show or not hide.

After this click on the “Save” button to save all the changes.
