How to set-up Menus in WordPress ?

For the WordPress website, menus are one of the most important sections for the user’s experience and navigating the whole website. WordPress provides the menu editing section in the dashboard so that the users can easily organize their menu section and makes the website more user-friendly and beautiful.

On the website, menus are the navigation tool that provides the user with a map of the website to navigate all the contents on the website and the user can easily land on every page of your website. An organized menu bar will also improve the search ranking and hence boost your SEO result.

Setting Menus in the WordPress Website: In WordPress, many themes come with predefined menu bars but to understand the WordPress menu setting section, we will go through the main setting of the WordPress menu settings. Menus style is the part of the theme that we have installed on our WordPress website. Here we are going to show you how you can set up the menu in the “Twenty-Twenty” theme but the process will be the same for other themes also. 

Step 1: Go to your WordPress dashboard, hover over the “Appearance” section, and then click on the “Menus” button.

A menu setting window will appear on your screen.

Step 2: Now write the “Menu” name in the Menu Name box and click on the “Create Menu” button to create the menu.

Step 3: Ensure that you have created the pages before adding the pages to your menu which you have created, and then add the pages to your menu bar by checking the checkboxes.

Step 4: After selecting the pages click on the “Add to Menu” button to add the pages which you have selected by checking the boxes.

After clicking on the “Add to Menu” button all the pages will add to your menu.

Step 5: Check the display locations where you want to display the menu which you have created.

Step 6: Then click on the “Save Menu” button to save the menu which you have created.

Step 7: Visit your website, the menu which you have created is start appearing on the top bar of your WordPress website.
