MongoDB is a software that provides database connectivity. It is quite similar to MySQL, but still many users choose MongoDB for its easy user interface. As MongoDB is available in both cloud & server form. Basically, MongoDB provides database documentation. It provides the necessary query and indexing used for database access. MongoDB also provides a developer model. It is used by developers for complex project formation. As it provides a nice user interface. OpenSUSE is open-source software that helps to create delicate projects. It is mostly used for its Linux distribution. OpenSUSE is used to build packages for major Linux distributions. So, for installing MongoDB, OpenSUSE should be installed in the machine previously.

Installing MongoDB on OpenSUSE

To install MongoDB on OpenSUSE follow the following steps:

Step 1: At first, the OpenSUSE terminal should be opened. This command should be run. This command will help to download MongoDB in the OpenSUSE. It will take some time to download it.

zypper addrepo –no-gpgcheck https://repo.mongodb.com/zypper/suse/15/mongodb/4.2/x86_64/mongodb

Step 2: Then, the below-mentioned command will be run. This command will install the MongoDB downloaded to the machine. It is easy to install. Wait for some time till the installation is completed.

zypper install mongodb

Step 3: After that, the following two commands need to run. The first command will enable MongoDB according to the machine configuration. Then the second command will start the MongoDB server. This will complete the process of installation.

systemctl enable mongod

systemctl start mongod

Step 4: At last, the below command should be run. This command prompts the status of the installed MongoDB. There if the activity is visible, then the process is successful.

systemctl status mongod
