Another free and open-source solution for managing photo collections is called Fotoxx. It is designed for serious photographers who want a straightforward, quick, and easy tool for picture editing. It supports the management of picture collections and a simple thumbnail viewer for browsing the collection directories and subdirectories.

Fotoxx is a Linux photo editor that professional photographers can use to edit raw images and save them in various formats such as JPEG and PNG. Images with skewed perspectives, such as wide-angle views, can be fixed with Fotoxx, and shadows and red eyes can be erased. Fotoxx also includes many other critical editing capabilities, such as resizing photographs, boosting or decreasing image clarity, cropping images, and adding text to images.

Installation of Fotoxx on Ubuntu:

Step 1: The Fotoxx package is included in Ubuntu’s default repository, we will use the following command to update all of Ubuntu’s accessible packages:

sudo apt-get update

 

Step 2: We will install Fotoxx on Ubuntu using the apt package manager:

 sudo apt install fotoxx -y

 

Step 3: Use the following command to determine the version of Fotoxx that is currently installed:

fotoxx --version

 

Simply type the following command into the terminal  to start the fotoxx:

fotoxx

 

Fotoxx is installed on our ubuntu operating system.

Usage of FOTOXX:

Usage of FOTOXX is as follows:

  • Fotoxx adds the watermarks to images.
  • It is used to combine multiple images together.
  • JPEG, PNG, HDR, and TIFF are the image formats which is supported by fotoxx.
  • It also supports the black and white color conversion.
  • It automatically discovers the images present in our system.
