How to insert audio files in WordPress ?

WordPress is an open-source Content Management System and an interface that is totally based on PHP and MySql which is used to create a dynamic website. Matt Mullenweg developed WordPress and Written in PHP language. WordPress is one of the most popular interfaces that allow users to customize and manage the website from its back-end content management system. It is used to organize the whole process of creating, storing, and showcasing web content in an optimal way. WordPress was initially developed as an improvement tool that enhances the regular typography of day-to-day writing.

In this article, we are going to discuss how we can insert audio files into WordPress Posts or Pages.

Let’s see the steps to how to insert audio files into WordPress Posts or Pages Easily and Quickly :

Step 1: First login into WordPress dashboard. For that, go to the WordPress login panel and try to log in to the WordPress Dashboard by entering the username and password. To access the WordPress login panel you can add /wp-login.php to the end of the website URL that you want to access.

After entering the username and password and login into WordPress, the user will be able to see a dashboard like this:

Step 2: Now search for Pages in the menu and open the Pages. To open Pages, for that:

In the menu option on the left side of the WordPress window, you will find many options. Then go to the Pages >> All Pages.

After clicking on All Pages on the dropdown menu, you will see a similarAll Page section like this:

Step 3: From the all page section, you need to select and open the page you want to add audio files.

Click on the “more horiz” button for the selected page you want to add audio files then click on ‘Edit’ to edit to the Pages. Or Directly Click on the page you want to add audio files.

After selecting and opening the page by clicking on Edit, you will see a similar page editor window as shown in the following screenshot:

Step 4: Now click on the ‘+’ button on the left top corner of the page. After clicking on the button, you will find all options to edit the page.

Now search for audio in the search bar, you will find the Audio option as shown below:

Now click on the Audio option as shown below. In this option, you can add Audio in three ways :

• Upload
• Media Library
• Insert From URL

Here, I am using the Insert From URL to add an Audio. I am trying to add sample audio. Now insert the URL in the ‘Insert From URL’ section and then click on enter button or press the Enter key.

After inserting the URL, you will find the audio widget is now added to the page in a similar manner as shown below on the page.

Now click on the update button to update the changes on the page. After clicking on the update button, You will get Page updated message with a View page link on the page.
