How to Generate SHA-1 Fingerprint of Keystore Certificate in Android Studio?

SHA-1 stands for Secure Hash Algorithm 1 and it is used when you want to integrate google API into your app. There are multiple ways to SHA-1 Fingerprint but I’ll show you the easiest way to get it. This is what SHA-1 Fingerprint looks like.

Steps to Generate SHA-1 Fingerprint of Keystore Certificate 

Step 1: If you have an existing project in Android studio then open it otherwise create a new project with an empty activity.

Step 2: Once your project is loaded, you will see Gradle on the right side click on it.

 

Step 3: Now one window will open up and then you have to click on the Gradle logo.

 

Step 4: Type signingReport in the search bar and then hit ENTER.

 

Step 5: You can see the SHA-1 Fingerprint of Keystore Certificate in the console.
