How to Download and Install LibreCAD on Windows?

LibreCad is computer software that is made for 2D designing used by graphic designers and engineers. It is free and open-source software that is capable of running on different platforms like macOS, Windows, Linux, etc. It was first launched in 2011 and it is built using the C++ programming language. The development credit of LibreCAD goes to the LibreCAD community. It is available in 30 languages. 

Installing LibreCAD  on Windows 

Follow the below steps to install LibreCAD on Windows:

Step 1: Visit the official website https://librecad.org/ using any web browser.

Step 2: Click on the Download button.

Step 3: Now Click on from SourceForge button.

Step 4: Next page open now click on Download Latest Version button.

Step 5: Now downloading will start.

Step 6: Now find the executable file in the downloads folder in your system and open it.

Step 7: It will prompt confirmation to make changes to your system. Click on Yes.

Step 8: Now the screen will be of License Agreement now Click on the I Agree button.

Step 9: The next window will be of choosing installing location, so choose the drive which will have sufficient memory space for installation. It required roughly 141.8 MB of memory space. Now click on the Install button.

Step 10: After this installation process will start and it might take 2-5 minutes depending on your computer speed and specification to complete the installation.

Step 11: Now Click on the Close button.

  • At this point, LibreCAD is successfully installed on the system and an icon is created on the desktop. Now double click on it to see the interface.

Step 12: The next screen will be the welcome screen now click on OK to see the interface of the software.

Congratulations!! At this point, you have successfully installed LibreCAD on your Windows system.
