Hitfilm is a free video editing software. The earlier version of Hitfilm was Hitfilm express, but the latest version has raised the heights, i.e. Hitfilm 2022. It is developed by FXhome. In the initial use of the software you might feel a little uncomfortable with the dashboard, but once you are comfortable with all the tools in it, your video editing skills would reach their heights. Download and Install Hitfilm Video Editor 

The following are the steps to install the Hitfilm video editor:

Step 1: Go to Hitfilm. The home page of the Hitfilm website is shown in the image below. A login page will be shown to you on the right side of the screen. If you are a new user, then register on their website by simply adding your full name, and email and setting a password. 

Step 2: After registration, the download button will appear, either on the top right corner of the screen or at the bottom of the home page. Click on the Download free button. 

Step 3: The download starts. At the time when we are writing this blog, the download size of Hitfilm software is 408MB, and the name of the file is Hitfilm_2022.4.msi. 

Step 4: After downloading the software. Click on it, Hitfilm setup page opens. Click on the Next button. 

Step 5: The License Agreement page opens. If you wish, you could read their service agreement. Then, mark the check box with a message I accept the terms in the License Agreement. Then, click on the Next button. 

Step 6: Now, on the next page, we could view the 3 options, Typical, Custom, and Complete. The Typical button is for most of the users, as installs only the required programs which are needed with Hitfilm. The Custom button allows users to select the programs they wish to install, but it’s not recommended. The Complete button installs all the program features, which could be a large file, and requires maximum disk space. 

Step 7: Now, click on the Install button. 

Step 8: The installation of the software begins. This might take some time depending on the processor power of your PC. 

Step 9: Then, click on the Finish button. Check the start Hitfilm box, if you also want to start the Hitfilm software, immediately after the installation. 

Step 10: The Hitfilm video editor has been successfully installed on your computer. Start the Hitfilm software. The home page of Hitfilm will open, which shows a login page. Enter your email address as well as password, to log in. 

Step 11: The home page of Hitfilm software will open. Start editing your videos absolutely free.
