Flash is a 2D animation software that can be used on different operating systems like macOS, Windows, Linux, etc. It was first launched in 1996 and the latest version is released in 2021. It is capable of different functionalities like masking, character tracing, lip-sync, motion and shape tweening, frame by frame animations, etc. The animations created in Flash are vector-based rather than pixel animations which can only be zoomed to a certain level but this is not the case with vector-based animations so they provide high-quality animations.

Animating Side Walk Cycle

The Sidewalk cycle is used in almost all the animation projects because if there is a character then he will definitely walk so we need to know how to make this walk cycle. For animating a walk cycle first of all we need a character that has its different parts on different layers so that it will be easy to animate each component after that follow the below steps to animate the sidewalk.

Step 1: Create a new project in Flash.

Step 2: Create a basic character with all the parts at different layers(follow the above URL to make the character).

Step 3: Create a new layer as the base, draw a straight line below the character and also two straight lines on the top of the character, and give the walking pose to the character.
