In flash we can animate walk cycles easily, there are two types of walk cycles one is the front walk cycle and the other is the sidewalk cycle so we will animate the front walk cycle. The front walk cycle is periodic in nature as any character will move to one side and then move to the other side and this will go in the loop so we will animate a chick along with its shadow walking in the front direction.

Animating a Walking Chick

Animating different characters is essential for any scene as a scene is composed of different components so each component plays an important role in making animations appealing. We will create a chick walking animation, for this we will need a vector image of a chick with different parts like legs, wings, body, etc. Follow the below steps to animate a walking chick.

Step 1: Open a new project in Adobe Flash.
