Google Developer Students Club(DSC) Interview Experience

Back in September 2020, I got a notification in my phone that Google’s flagship club program known as Developers Students Club has been started in our college and the club is looking for Technical Members who’re good at web development, android development, AI or Cyber security. 

I have learnt web development in the lockdown, and did some nice projects. So I thought to give it a try.

The first step is to fill the form, which takes our details like contact info and our technical skills. After a week, I got a mail from DSC stating that I have been shortlisted for the Interview for the role of Web Development Lead in the Club. My interview is scheduled at the very next day!

Note : The interview is in online mode

I don’t know how to prepare for the interview, so I started going through the code of the projects that I have made so far.

The D-Day has arrived,

My interview was scheduled at 5PM, and I got a reminder call at 11AM for the interview.

At 5PM sharp, I joined the interview, I can see around half a dozen of people on the screen staring at me. I was a bit nervous. 

The interviewer asked me to introduce myself. I started by my name and in a few seconds I was stuck.

I took a deep breathe and told them that it’s my first interview and I am feeling a bit nervous.

The Lead came forward and started interacting with me in a polite way.

Then after I became comfortable in a couple of minutes, we went to the technical section.

The panel members asked me to showcase any of my 2 projects.

The projects that I’ve demonstrated are as follows :
1) WhatsApp web Clone application.

2) My portfolio website.

Then he asked about the tech stack that I have used in the projects. 

Later he started questioning me on concept of hosting.

I answered them all with full of confidence.

The interview has completed.

I got a mail after a couple of days stating that I have been selected as the Web Development Lead of the DSC.
