Genesys Telecommunications Labs Interview Experience

I appeared for the Genesys Full Stack Developer through campus hiring, in July 2021. First, there was an Online Assessment Round and it was followed by four rounds of the technical interview.

8th July 2021 –  10th July 2021.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

1. Online Round
2. Technical Round 1
3. Technical Round 2
4. Managerial Round
5. HR Round

ROUND 1: The first round is the online assessment conducted on the Hirepro Platform. It had 4 sections in it.

• There were questions based on Networks, Operating Systems, Advanced Quantitative Aptitude, Code snippets(JAVA, C, CPP), and one programming question
• Each MCQ question carries +2 marks and -1 for wrong answers.
• There was 1 programming question which was moderate but a bit lengthy.

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW 1: It lasted for 1.30 hours. We started with a self-introduction followed by explaining the previous day’s coding question.

• Started with a coding question and asked to write a pseudocode for it.
• He asked me about some OOPS concepts and further moved on to Data Structures.
• He then jumped into web programming concepts like the difference between HTML4 and HTML5, the difference between strong and bold tags, and many more.

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW 2: It lasted for 1.15 hours. 

• After some introduction, he jumped into programming and asked me to code Strings are rotation of each other or not https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/a-program-to-check-if-strings-are-rotations-of-each-other/
• Reverse a particular word in a sentence  
• What is the kernel and say some versions of kernel are used worldwide?
• What are a virtual machine and list its components?
• Explain about REST API and explain it with real-time examples
• What is the PING command and what does it return?
• Asked about some functions in javascript and many more.
• He then asked me to explain about any one of my projects

MANAGERIAL ROUND: This round is more of puzzles and aptitude questions. Refer http://puzzles.nigelcoldwell.co.uk/

• She asked around 6-7 puzzles where she expected to say about the logic for each puzzle

HR ROUND: In this round, the interviewer asked me some common HR questions

• Tell me about yourself in a very brief manner
• Why do you like to join Genesys?

Verdict: Selected 

Tip: Be confident with your answers and try to solve a program in more than one way
