Find the determinant of the matrix:
A = \begin{bmatrix} -1 & 2 & -2\\   4& -3 & 4 \\   -2& 4 & -4 \end{bmatrix}

(A) -8
(B) 2
(C) -24
(D) None of these.


Answer: (D)

Explanation: Convert the matrix in row echelon form by doing gaussian elimination, then you will find that the last row becomes all zero therefore rank of matrix is 2.
Determinant of matrix should be 0.

Option (D) is correct.
