Fynd conducted the on-campus drive in our college. The interview process is of 3 rounds(1 online assessment test and 2 offline interviews).

Round 1: Online Assessment Test(45 min): Topics in the test are

  • Data Structure(5 MCQs)
  • Puzzles(5 MCQs)
  • Logical reasoning(5 MCQs)
  • Arithmetic/Numerical Ability(5 MCQs)
  • Engineering/Computer Fundamentals(5 MCQs)
  • Image Analysis/Abstract Reasoning(5 MCQs)
  • Coding Problems(1 Coding)
  • All the MCQs were easy and the Coding was medium.11 members have cleared the test. We went to Fynd Ahmedabad to give the interview offline.

Round 2: Technical Interview(50 min): My interviewer is a cool guy. He went through my resume and asked these questions.

  • Introduce yourself
  • Explain Encapsulation, Abstraction, Inheritance, and Polymorphism as real-life examples.
  • What are constructors and types?
  • Types of polymorphism.
  • Difference between runtime and compile time polymorphism.
  • Explain about friend function and virtual function.
  • Did you use OOPs in your project? (Yes)
  • Basic questions on almost every Data Structure from array to graph and real-life examples.
  • 3 coding questions(Easy, Medium, Hard): I did not remember those questions but you can find them on gfg(frequently asked questions).
  • Any questions for me?

Out of 11 members, 3 members were selected for the next interview.

Round 3: Lead Interview(40 min): Lead Interview consists of both TR and HR questions. For me, this round is like an advanced Technical Interview.

  • The interviewer is a 9-year experienced guy. He went through my resume and asked me to explain me the projects mentioned.
  • First I explained a project on the full stack web application. Then he asked whether I have used sessions in my project.(No)
  • What are cookies and cache?
  • How will you provide security in this project? (I said about the login page and he was not that satisfied).
  • Then he asked about the other two projects mentioned(I explained them).
  • Questions on OOPs are similar to the previous round. I have answered all.
  • Solve 2 coding Questions( Medium, Hard similar to the previous interview).
  • Questions on DBMS(aliasing, indexing, Normalization).
  • Write a SQL query to find the nth highest salary.
  • Write a SQL query to find the number of students who secured marks > 50 in Maths from XYZ school studying Class 10.(Use Joins to solve).
  • Some basic questions on Operating Systems.
  • Any questions for me?

All three students who went for the second round are selected…..

Note:

My interview went great except for the first project in the Lead round. Every question asked in the interview was related to my resume. My friends did a mistake by including the tech stack they don’t know and got rejected. Almost everyone with basic coding knowledge can make it to the technical round. The interview will be offline(nearest Fynd Office).
