Flash and Blender both are animation software used for creating different styles of animation. They are used by individuals as well as organisations for commercial production of animation works. There is always been a confusion of choosing a software for the work which would be best suited for them so lets understand key differences between these softwares.

Flash is an animation software launched by Adobe corporation, its current version is known as Adobe Animate and is provided with a lots of features for making animation process easy and fast. Flash is used in different fields like movies, video games, computer application, mobile apps etc.

Blender is also an animation software developed by Blender Foundation. It is free and open-source software and it was initially released in 1994. It is written in different programming languages like C, C++, Python etc.

4. It uses Action Script as its programming language. It is developed using Python, C and C++.
5. It creates vector-based animations. It is capable of vector-based 2D animation and simple 2D animations.
6. Editing is not possible in Flash. Blender can also be used for animation.
7. VFX feature is not supported by flash. Blender provide features to use VFX.
8. It is used for gaming, web applications etc. It is used for 2D, 3D animations and creating assets for 3D assets.
