I applied for Extentia’s hiring process in July 2022. It was an off-campus experience. I received the mail of the first OA in the month of August.

OA 1: The OA consisted of basic quantitative aptitude. Also, it consisted of some company-related questions like their motto, etc. Thankfully I have researched Extentia beforehand so it was pretty easy to take on the test. After about a week or so I received the mail of clearing the first OA. 

OA 2: Then again after 3 to 4 days, I received the mail of the second OA which consisted of pseudocode and OOPs concepts. The platform for the same was Mettl. The difficulty level of the test was moderate. However, there were around 3 questions in the pseudocode section which were pretty lengthy and tricky to understand as they consisted of bitwise operators. The OOPs concepts section was moderate as well. Then after a week or so I received the mail of clearing the second round as well,

After a week or so I received the mail of the third round, i.e. the group discussion round.

Group discussion:  I was given around 4 days to prepare for this round. There were around 7 to 8 people in the GD. The unique thing about this round was that all of us had to introduce ourselves in a unique manner. Therefore I prepared a short PowerPoint presentation to introduce myself. I think I was able to impress HR with my ppt since it had a lot of memes and dark humor. So I pulled off this round very easily. By this time it was the second week of September. 

Then after a month or so, i.e. in October I received the final mail of the technical interview. 

Technical Round: I had about 7 days to prepare for the same. The technical interview was moderate as well. 

  • The recruiter asked me questions on recursion, arrays, OOPs, OS & DBMS. 
  • The whole interview duration was about 65 to 70 minutes. I wasn’t able to answer one question on OS, not gonna lie. 
  • But the rest was pretty fine. I received the mail about clearing all rounds and my HR recruiter told me to have a telephone conversation with the senior HR manager.

I just had to convince the senior manager to convert my training period into a 6-month internship or apprenticeship and provide me a certificate for the same as I would be needing it for my 8th semester. I will be receiving my offer letter for the same in the month of December.
