Smush is one of the best free image optimization plugins for WordPress it turn-ons the lazy load of the images, resizes, compresses & improves your site speed, and helps in ranking the website.

It compresses the size of the image without losing its quality it also provides the feature of a bulk compress of images at one goes 50 images at one single click. And locate the images which slow down your website it optimizes the file types such as jpeg, png, pdf, and gif.

How to install smush:

Step 1: Go to the Dashboard click on the plugin and then click on Add New.

Step 2: Search Smush in the search box and then click install now.

Step 3: After installing the smush plugin click on Active to active the plugin, so that it starts functioning.

Step 4: After activation of the smush plugin, smush will start appearing on the Dashboard. 

Click on smush and then Dashboard, the smush setting wizard will appear on the screen.

Scroll down you will get the setting section from where you set all the settings related to image optimizations.

Step 5: After setting, click on save changes for applying all the settings.

You can also bulk smush (bulk compress) the images from the smush Dashboard in the bulk smush section.
