EXL Services Interview Experience

EXL visited IIT Guwahati for hiring Data Analytics Interns at the end of September and the eligibility criteria were as follows :
Departments: Open for All
CGPA > 7.0
Backlogs: No Backlogs

The selection procedure was as follows :

• Resume Shortlisting
• Technical Interviews based on the shortlisting done

So,10 people were shortlisted for the interview and I was, fortunately, one of them. I was informed 12 hours prior to my interview that I’m shortlisted.

EXL had just one round of interviews for the selection process and the nature of the interview was Technical. The interviewer asked me to introduce and then he opened my resume and started shooting questions from my resume he asked literally every word of my resume, even the Extracurricular, and Achievement sections. He asked why I took a minor in Electronics and Communication and Engineering and then, he asked me questions about my ECE background. He literally scanned every word of my CV and grilled me over every word in the interview. After this, he asked me a typical statistics question “If I give you a biased coin. How would know that it is biased?” I couldn’t answer the point. Then he asked me if I had any questions for him.

 Verdict: Rejected.
