College: Institute of Aeronautical Engineering

Job Role: Junior Software Engineer / Junior Software Test Automation Engineer

Year of Passing: 2023

There are five rounds in the selection process :

Preliminary round – NCET Test: Myanatomy (online) (2.5 hrs) 

It consists of five sections :

  • Problem Solving Efficiency
  • Analytical Proficiency
  • English Proficiency
  • Computer Fundamental
  • Coding

The first four sections are MCQs. The coding section can be written in different languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. A minimum 40% score is mandatory to clear this round.

Coding round: Myanatomy (offline) (2 hrs)

It consists of MCQs on DBMS, Java, and OOPS concepts and two coding questions to be writtenin Java programming language only. The first coding question is of medium level and the second codingquestion is of hard level.

Communication test – Group Discussion: (online) (30 minutes)

The topic is given: Covid second wave – who should be blamed? Government or People. There were ten participants and an interviewer in the group discussion.

Technical round: (online) (1 hour)

Theoretical questions covered on Java, OOPS, Data Structures, DBMS, and Projects.

Coding Implementation :

  • Implement method overriding in Java.
  • Arrays-based question.
  • Strings-based question.

SQL implementation :

  • Implement inner join on given tables.
  • Implement a query on a given table using the like operator.
  • Implement a query on a given table using aggregate functions.

Behavioral round – HR Interview: (online)(30 minutes)

  • Introduce yourself.
  • Explain your project(s).
  • What is the most difficult situation you have faced in your life?
  • What are the three things that you expect from EPAM?
  • What is your approach to solving a problem?
  • Your preferred location to work at is EPAM.
  • Do you have any questions?

In the end, the interviewer discussed the work culture at EPAM and their projects based on the questions I asked.

Group Discussion, TR, and HR interviews were conducted using Microsoft Teams.

Final verdict: Selected
