Microsoft Edge is the official web browser of Microsoft corporation and it is a platform-independent web browser. It is an open-source browser and can be used by anyone, initially, it was released in 2015 only for Xbox One and Windows 10 but later it was enhanced to support nearly all operating systems. It uses a Blink engine and has advanced features like dark mode and other security features to provide the best experience.

Mozilla Firefox is one of the widely used web browsers as it is free for everybody means you don’t need to pay any money for its use but you should follow the license agreement and community guidelines for its use. Development credit for this software goes to Mozilla Foundation.

1. It is the new web browser that is the successor of Internet Explorer. It is an open-source web browser that came in the market in the year 2002.
2. It does not have an autoplay blocking feature. Advanced functionalities such as blocking autoplay are provided.
3. Bing is used as default search engine. It uses the Google search engine as a default search engine.
4. The performance score of Edge is found better when compared to Firefox. The performance score of firefox when tested is a little lower as compared to Edge.
5. It does not provide in-built pocket integration and hence the user needs to depend on third-party extensions. It provides an in-built pocket integration to store web pages in pocket accounts to read later.
6. It tracks user interest data only to provide relevant results. In terms of privacy, it does not track data in private browsing mode.
7. It captures a market share of around 4 percent. Around 3 percent market share is captured by Firefox.
8. It uses comparatively less battery power. Utilization of energy is more as compared to the edge.
