The recruitment process of DXC Technology consists of 2 stages:
(Note: Each stage is elimination stage)

  1. Assessment test (Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning, Computer proficiency & Coding)
  2. One-on-One interview.

The interview process generally consists of both technical & HR questions but it depends from candidate to candidate. For example: in my case I wasn’t asked any technical questions. Same was the case with some of my friends & college mates while there were some students who were asked basic technical questions too. My overall experience was good & this was my first job interview. The interviewer had a friendly nature & we had a discussion for about 35 minutes. She asked me the following questions:

  • Introduce yourself.
  • Why do you want to join the IT industry?
  • What do you know about DXC Technology?
  • Has it ever happened with you that you made a small mistake & you feel very bad about it?
  • Have you ever been in a situation of team conflict? What did you do about it?
  • Have you ever been in a situation of internal conflict?
  • What are your strengths & weaknesses?
  • How are you working on your weaknesses?
  • Are you willing to work in different shifts?
Before I answered this question, I was given a brief about the different work-shifts.
  • Are you willing to relocate?
  • Do you have any questions for me?
I asked about the job profile “Associate Professional” & after explaining to me about it she further explained about LOI, training period, offer letter & allocation of department.

Overall, it was a good experience for me.

After having gone through this experience & listening to others’ experiences, what I have understood is that interviews are conducted to primarily focus on the candidate’s personality, attitude & communication skills.

  • The questions asked in interviews also depend on the candidate’s resume (like the interviewer can ask about internships/projects).
  • So, when you make your resume, ensure that the information you give there is short & concise and more importantly you should know what you are writing in your resume/CV.
  • Another important thing, ensure that you attend the company’s pre-placement session. This is very important as during this session you will understand the entire hiring process & also get an insight about the organisation. Last but not the least, be calm & have a positive attitude no matter what. Job interview is a discussion, not an interrogation.
