DXC Technology Interview Experience 2020

DXC Technology Campus Drive was held in the month of September 2020 (For the batch of 2021 i.e final year students) for the full-time employees as Associate Professional-Software Engineering.

All rounds were held online on the Aspiring Minds platform.

Round 1: This was an Aptitude based exam with the following sections- Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Essay Writing, Computer Programming, and Coding Section mainly in (C++, java, python).  All sections were objective type (MCQs) and each section had limited time. The test is in a serial manner, you cannot choose any particular section. You cannot also go back to the previous question if you proceed to the next question. Sample papers and preparatory material for this test are available online. The test was about 105 minutes.

It was an elimination round and only the students who cleared the test were invited for PI Round.

Candidates were asked to submit their resume in DXC Format with this test. This resume is further required in the personal interview round.

Round 2: This round is Technical Interview and HR Round for 30 minutes.  They asked me for my introduction.  Then they ask a few questions on the AWS cloud form my resume. Some of them are “Why AWS is better than other cloud service provider?”, “Why do you like AWS”, “name the different services provided by AWS” and many more.

Then he gave me a coding question and give 5 minutes to solve.

Basically, he wants the concept of not implementation, I was able to tell the concept. Then he asked me questions about computer architecture, DBMS, Algorithm, Data Structures, Computer Networking. Some of the questions are :

  1. Different types of hardware.
  2. Difference between ram and secondary memory.
  3. How many types of software, what is an algorithm
  4. Different types of algorithms.
  5. What is Data-structures?
  6. What is an array?
  7. When we should use the array?
  8. Founder of Linux and Windows.
  9. Explain different OSI layers.
  10. What is the protocol?
  11. Explain PDU (Protocol data unit) in telecommunication.

It is a 30 minutes interview but too many questions are asked from me. He covered all the major domains of Computer Science. The result is yet to declare.

Tip: Questions will be asked from the resume, so please mention your skills wisely. Just be confident and show your willingness to learn even if you are not able to answer any of their questions. They are ready to hire and train employees as per their requirements.
