1. WhatsApp Messenger : 
WhatsApp Messenger, or simply WhatsApp, is a cross-platform messaging service owned by Facebook, Inc. It allows users to send text messages, voice messages, make voice calls, video calls, share images, documents, user locations, and other media. 

2. Telegram : 
Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging and voice over IP service. It allows users to send messages and exchange photos, videos, stickers, audio and files of any type. 

Difference between WhatsApp Messenger and Telegram :

It is owned by Facebook, Inc. It is owned by Telegram Messenger LLP.
It was launched on 3rd May, 2009. It was launched in 14th Aug 2013.
It was developed by Jan Koum and Brian Acton. It was developed by Pavel Durov.
We can do phone calls using whatsapp. We can not do phone calls using telegram.
Whatsapp does not have built-in browser. Telegram has built-in browser, so you we can open links and websites while still inside the app.
In whatsapp anyone can send message to you. In telegram you have to add or accept contacts before messaging. It prevents strangers from sending you unwanted messages.
There is no option such that an image which automatically disappears once the person has seen it. In telegram you can send an image which can disappear once the person has seen it.
It supports less languages as compared to telegram. It supports more languages as compared to whatsapp.
Whatsapp requires a SIM card to log in. Telegram does not require a SIM card to log in.
It has less rating in play store as compared to telegram. It has more rating in play store as compared to whatsapp.
