1. Project Engineer :
Project Engineer, as name suggest, is simply a person or engineer who is professional and have organization skills, engineering knowledge, and project management abilities to perform all tasks and get success in career.

2. Planning Engineer :
Application Engineer, as name suggests, is simply a person or employee who is responsible for determining and developing suitable and successful construction and engineering methods as well as help team to deliver projects on schedule.



Difference between Project Engineer and Planning Engineer :

It mainly focuses on project construction works. It mainly focuses on project planning.
Skills required for project engineer includes good communication skills, working experience, supervision skills, leadership skills, etc. Skills required for project engineer includes good communication skills, ability to explain design ideas and plans, good organizational skills, etc.
Their responsibilities includes perform quality control of work, assign responsibilities, motivate and coordinate project team, etc. Their responsibilities includes understanding of safety protocols, ability to focus under pressure and meeting deadlines, strong multitasking abilities, etc.
Factors affecting project engineer performance includes poor managerial skills, lack of decision making ability, lack of design and visualizations software knowledge, etc. Factors affecting planning engineer performance includes poor management skills, lack of thinking and analytical skills, no focus, etc.
Its process include project planning, preparing, scheduling, coordination and monitoring all assigned projects. Its process include managing, designing, specifying, delivering, maintaining and improving processes of production of products or software’s or machines.
Its main objective is to prepare various strategies for all planning activities for projects. Its main objective is to design as well as improve software quality and performance.
Its benefit includes increase safety, improve team performance, increase motivation, allows better communication, etc. Its benefit includes risk assessment, address risk and quality, provide support to operations, manage all communications, etc.
Project engineer tasks are more difficult than Planning Engineer tasks. Planning Engineer tasks are less difficult than Project Engineer tasks.
It cannot handle role of Planning Engineer. Its role is limited and therefore cannot handle role of project engineer.
