Difference between Laptop and Netbook

1. Laptop: A laptop is a small portable computer having a number of features. It can be treated as a replacement for a desktop. Because most of the tasks which are performed in the laptop can also be performed by the laptop. These are larger in size than Netbook and generally vary from 10 inches to 20 inches. It usually weighs between 1.4 to 5.4 Kg. Laptops have more features than a netbook by which different types of tasks can be formed. Almost every laptop supports any kind of operating system, which means the latest version of operating systems can be run on this. 

Advantages of Laptop :

• Larger screen
• More powerful
• DVD Drive

Disadvantages of Laptop :

• Larger and heavier
• Shorter Battery Life

2. Netbook: Netbook is a type of smaller-size laptop with fewer components. It can’t be treated as a replacement of a laptop because we can perform many tasks like laptops but not all tasks. These are smaller in size than a laptop and generally vary from 7 inches to 13 inches. It usually weighs between 0.9 Kg to 1.4 Kg. Netbooks have fewer features than a Laptop by which some general tasks can be performed but not higher tasks. As Netbooks are available at low costs so many netbooks run Linux or a previous version of Windows. 

Advantages of Netbook :

• Easy portability
• Cheaper Replacement Parts
• Less Cost
• Useful for normal activities
• Less price

Disadvantages of Netbook :

• Less processing power
• Not good for high processing activities
• fewer features

11.	Full-sized keyboard is available. It is best suitable to use for typing purpose.	Small functional keyboard is available. So it is generally not preferred if you need to type a lot.
12.	Faster processors are used in laptop as compared to netbook.	Low-end processors are used in netbook.
13.	Laptop can have both HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and SSD (Solid State Drive).	Netbooks usually have SSDs in place of hard drives.
