There are various undergraduate programs that can be undertaken by student. The options are even more when one chooses engineering. Let us see similarities and difference between two such options, B.E. and B.S. in engineering

1. Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) :
BE is also known as bachelor of engineering. This course deals with engineering concepts. Certification is given to student on completion of 3 to 5 Year engineering program.

2. Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.) :
BS stands for Bachelor of Science in engineering. This can be available in various Engineering fields such as Computer Science, Aeronautical, Automobile, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil and Electrical Engineering.

B.E. and B.S. (Engineering) both have similar types of courses and certificates of both of them are awarded at end of completion of these courses. The difference between them arises only due to colleges that decide to offer these courses. The content and approaches to these courses are entirely dependent on colleges offering them. There may be instances when particular course deals more with physical aspect whereas, other may concentrate more on practical aspect.
