1. Android 9.0 “Pie” :
Android 9.0 “Pie” is the ninth version and 16th major release of Android Operating System, released publicly on August 6, 2018. It was preceded by Android 8.1 “Oreo” and succeeded by Android 10. It was initially called Android P. With Android 9 update, Google introduced ‘Adaptive Battery’ and ‘Automatic Brightness Adjust’ functionality. This improved battery levels with the changed battery scenario for Android users. As of April 2020, it is the most popular Android version with 37.4% of Android phones running on this version.

2. Android 10 :
Android 10 is the tenth version and 17th major release of Android Operating System, released publicly on September 3, 2019. It was preceded by Android 9.0 “Pie” and will be succeeded by Android 11. It was initially called Android Q. With the dark mode and an upgraded adaptive battery setting, Android 10’s battery life it tends to be longer on comparing with its precursor. As of April 2020, it is the second most popular Android version with 16.12% of Android phones running on this version.

It has a home button. Android 10 removed ‘Home button’ from device’s hardware. This offered a new look that added more quickly and intuitive gesture navigation functionalities.
Notification in Android 9 was smarter, more powerful, bundled together, and “reply” feature inside notification bar. App notifications appear in form of bubble chat heads that floats across screen enables users to perform some other task while attending these notifications.
Privacy settings are much secure than Android 8.1 “Oreo”. Android 10 allows users to have better options in terms of location-access permission. The users can decide if they want to make their location accessible to third parties according to their terms.
