Difference between Android 1.0 and Android 4.2
1. Android 1.0 :
Android 1.0 is the very first version of Android which was introduced by Google. It had some basic features including web browser support, camera support, Gmail accounts, Google maps and Youtube application. Although it does not have the official version name like further introduces versions but unofficially it is called Apple Pie. The API level in Android 1.0 version is 1. It is not used anymore in the mobile devices. It was released on 23 September 2008.
2. Android 4.2 :
Android 4.2 is next version of Android after Android 4.1.2 which was introduced by Google. Some key user features like Lockscreen widgets, gesture typing, wireless display with Miracast and multi-user for tablets were added in this version. Key developer features like vsync timing, triple buffering, reduced touch latency, CPU input boost, Native RTL support, external display support, nested fragments, RenderScript compute, RenderScript ScriptGroups, built-in intrinsics like blur, FilterScript for high performance image processing were added in this version. Its version name is Jelly Bean. The API level in Android 4.2 is 17. It was released on 13 November 2012.
