Difference between Android 1.0 and Android 4.0
1. Android 1.0 :
Android 1.0 is the very first version of Android which was introduced by Google. It had some basic features including web browser support, camera support, Gmail accounts, Google maps and Youtube application. Although it does not have the official version name like further introduces versions but unofficially it is called Apple Pie. The API level in Android 1.0 version is 1. It is not used anymore in the mobile devices. It was released on 23 September 2008.
2. Android 4.0 :
Android 4.0 is next version of Android after ‘Honeycomb’ which was introduced by Google. Some major user features like new lock screen actions, improved text input and spell-checking, control over network data, EAS v14 support email application and WI-FI direct were introduced in this version. Key developer features like low level streaming multimedia, grid layout, spell checking service, address space layout randomization, VPN client API, remote device camera enable/disable, ZSL exposure, continuous focus and image zoom were added int this version. Its version name is Ice Cream Sandwich. The API level in Android 4.0 is 14. It was released on 18 October 2011.
