Difference between Adabas and Alibaba Cloud MaxCompute

1. Adabas :
The Adabas stands for an Adaptable Database System. It was developed by Software AG to run on IBM mainframes. It was launched in 1971. It is an OLTP-DBMS for mainframes and Linux/Unix/Windows environments. Adabas is an enterprise database management system (DBMS) designed for reliability, high performance, scalability and low total cost of ownership.

2. Alibaba Cloud MaxCompute:
The MaxCompute which was previously known as ODPS, is a general purpose, fully managed, multi-tenancy data processing platform for large-scale data warehousing. It is used to store and compute batches of structured data. It provides a massive range of data warehouse solutions as well as big data analysis and modeling services.
