Deloitte Interview Experience for USI Tax Role 2022

Hey everyone! This article is related to my interview experience with Deloitte USI. Deloitte visited our campus on August 20, 2022, for campus placement for different roles. This article will focus on the USI Tax role.

Shortlisting Criteria:

• No active backlogs.
• Aggregate 60% or CGPA of 6.5 and above. (All branches allowed)

Round 1(Aptitude Test): Date: Aug 20, 2022: The test was conducted on the AMCAT platform. Remember, this platform does not allow you to toggle the question. (You can not change the option if answered and submitted, also you are not allowed to go on to the previous question again.

Sections: This test is divided into three parts

• Verbal: 25 Questions, 25 min
• Logical Reasoning: 25 questions, 35 min
• Quantitative Aptitude: 25 questions, 35 min

Round 2 (Versant Test): Date-Aug 21, 2022: The Basic skills of the candidate which are being analyzed in this test are as follows –

• Reading Skills
• Listening Skills
• Analyzing skills
• English Grammar Skills

Number of Questions: 40 – 45 Questions. Time Limit: 20 Mins

Round 3(Technical + HR + Final): Date-Aug 24, 2022: Every round started with an introduction.

HR: 

• How was your day?
• Tell me about yourself.
• What are your thoughts on technology?
• Tell me about some of your projects.
• Do you have any questions for me?

Tech: 

• Give a brief introduction about yourself.
• What did you learn during your internship and what was the biggest challenge?
• Tell me about your projects. (Be ready for cross questions)
• Suppose you are a team lead of a project, and you know that the client will not provide you with the required data till the last date of the deadline. And you know you won’t be able to meet the deadline. What will you do in this situation?
• Do you have any questions for me?

Final: 

• How are you doing?
• Short introduction about you.
• Since you said a lot of your projects are group projects, were there times when your teammates and you had difficulties? What did you do to solve them?
• A brief explanation about projects. (Example: This project already exists, what functionality did you add?)
• Do you have any questions for me?

Tips:

• Be honest with your resume. Write only those skills you are comfortable with. Prepare each and every term written in it, especially the skills, projects, and internships sections.
• Prepare a short and concise introduction of yourself.
• Prepare HR questions like “Why do you want to join this company?”.
• Be calm while answering questions. You can take a pause before start answering a question to structure your answer.
• If you are not able to answer any questions during the interview, then don’t be nervous it is very natural. Handle this situation carefully like you can say “Sir as of now I am not aware of this technology, but I will definitely learn this”. This is one of the possible answers.
• Prepare a question for the interviewer to be asked at the end of the interview like “What qualities do you see in an efficient Deloitte employee?”.
