Deloitte Interview Experience 2023

Round-1: Resume Shortlisting

• Initially, I registered for the Deloitte NLA through the respective company’s website and had given all the necessary information required along with my resume.
• Based on the Resume, shortlisting can be done and my resume is perfectly fine as per the job requirements so I have been shortlisted during this initial process to the next round. 

Round-2: Online Test

• Deloitte NLA is a National Level Assessment test consisting of four sections namely General Aptitude, Language Skills (English), Technical Skills (MCQ), and Technical Skills (Coding).
• The test duration is about 90 minutes.
• The total number of Questions is 50 in MCQ format and two questions in Coding format.
• To Illustrate questions the section-wise can be represented as follows,

1.   General Aptitude              – 20 MCQs(general cognitive skills, reasoning skills, and ability to work with data).
2.   Language Skills (English)  – 10 MCQs(English vocabulary, grammar, sentence construction, sentence arrangement, etc..,).
3.   Technical Skills (MCQ)      – 20 MCQs(covers the topics of Programming Concepts, Testing Concepts, Cloud Computing, and MS Office).
4.   Technical Skills (Coding)   – 2 live programming questions.

• Every Section has a Cut-off in this national-level assessment. So, concentrate on each and every section in the assessment.
• The Results have come after 10 days of taking the NLA online test and I have cleared my test and have been shortlisted for the interview process.

Round -3: Personal Interview(TR & HR)

• Time duration of the interview has been around 50 minutes.
• It is the final round of the hiring process and in this interview both technical and HR questions has been asked by the interviewer. There are different phases in the interview representing various questions and problems at each phase.

phase – 1: Technical Questions

• Explain OOPs and their types with live applications.
• What is DBMS?
• What is a Relational database?
• Explain Cloud computing and where it can be used.
• Mention the main cloud computing services types and what are their major applications.
• Explain cloud deployment models with examples of each model.
• Amazon Web Services vs Salesforce?

phase – 2: Live coding

• The interviewer has given me 2 coding questions and instructed me to use any programming language but complete it within a period of 20 minutes.
• Among the 2 questions, the first one is easy and it took me just about 5 minutes to complete the second problem is a medium-level question and it has taken me around 12 minutes to complete the execution.  

phase – 3: Puzzles

• one puzzle has been asked by the interviewer and has given me 5 minutes of time to solve that one.
• It’s a matchstick puzzle to prove 9-9=3 and the condition is to remove only one matchstick and can place it anywhere in order to prove the solution.

phase – 4: HR Questions

• Tell me about your project.
• why do you want to join Deloitte?
• Have you attended any interviews prior to this?
• Do you have any questions for me?

The interviewer was very friendly throughout the process and it’s been one of the best interviews that I have attended in my life.
