DecimalFormatSymbols setGroupingSeparator() method in Java with Examples

The setGroupingSeparator(char) method of java.text.DecimalFormatSymbols class in Java is used to set the character that is used to represent thousands of separator for the Locale of this DdecimalFormatSymbols. This method takes the character for representing the thousands separator as the parameter.

Syntax:

public void setGroupingSeparator(char groupingSeparator)

Parameter: This method accepts groupingSeparator as a parameter which is the character that will be used to represent thousands separator for this DdecimalFormatSymbols.

Return Value: This method do not set anything.

Exception: This method do not throw any Exception.
