The inset() function is an inbuilt function in CSS which is used with the filter property to change the inset of images.

inset( length | percentage );

Parameter: This function accepts single parameter length which is used to hold the value of contrast level that’s applied to the image. The argument can be either a percentage value or a length. It is mandatory parameter.
