Creating Boat Ride Animation in Flash

Flash is a 2D animation software that can be used on different operating systems like macOS, Windows, Linux, etc. It was first launched in 1996 and the latest version is released in 2021. It is capable of different functionalities like masking, character tracing, lip-sync, motion and shape tweening, frame by frame animations, etc. The animations created in Flash are vector-based rather than pixel animations which can only be zoomed to a certain level but this is not the case with vector-based animations so they provide high-quality animations.

Boat Ride Animation

Boat ride animation is easy to create, for this we will need a boat and a background image that should have any water body in it like a pond, river, ocean etc. You can create your own boat in illustrator or in flash itself. You can also download the vector image of the boat and background from the internet. So let’s start the animation process.

Steps to Create Boat Animation

Follow the below steps to make Boat Animation

Step 1: Create a new project in Flash.

Step 2: Now import any image on the stage, don’t use copyright images, either create your own images or download copyright-free images from the internet. Here we are using an image created in Adobe Illustrator.

Step 3: Now again import a Boat on the stage.

Step 4: Select the boat and right-click on it a list will appear, choose create symbol option.

Step 5: Next screen will appear, choose Graphic in the Type field and click OK.

Step 6: Now place the boat outside the stage on one side.

Step 7: Now select frame 10 and insert a keyframe by right-clicking and choosing insert keyframe from the list.

Step 8: Now place the boat at a different position on the 10 frames.

Step 9: Select a middle frame and right-click on it a list will appear, click on create Classic tween.

Step 10: Classic tween has been applied successfully.

Step 11: Now select the frame in the middle and press F5 to increase the frames to frame 45 to give more time to animation.
