In this article, we will cover one of the topics of this section i.e “Subjects mentioned in Concurrent list”. This is a very easy topic and if students read it comprehensively it will enhance their preparation and the possibility of their selection will increase.include

Concurrent List: 

The concurrent list includes matters that give authority to both the Center and the state governments. Issues include education, including technical education, medical training and universities, population control and family planning, criminal justice, animal cruelty prevention, wildlife and animal protection, forests, etc. However, as there can be conflicts when it comes to laws passed by Parliament and the State legislatures passing on the same subject, Constitution provides for a central statute overriding a state statute.

1 Criminal law, including all matters included in the Indian Penal Code at the commencement of this Constitution but excluding offences against laws with respect to any of the matters specified in List I or List II and excluding the use of naval, military or air forces or any other armed forces of the Union in aid of the civil power
2 Criminal procedure, including all matters included in the Code of Criminal Procedure at the commencement of this Constitution
3 Preventive detention for reasons connected with the security of a State, the maintenance of public order, or the maintenance of supplies and services essential to the community; persons subjected to such detention
