Cohesity Interview Experience for MTS-SDET (On-Campus) 2022

Round 0 – Online Assessment:
Platform: Interview Bit
Duration: 60 mins
Date: 26/10/22 
Questions: 2 Coding Questions

• Given the head of a linked list, reorder the linked list as L1 -> Ln -> L2 -> Ln-1 -> L3 … (https://leetcode.com/problems/reorder-list/)
• Word Ladder II (https://leetcode.com/problems/word-ladder-ii/)

Results were announced the following day and 12 People were shortlisted.

The following rounds were conducted on 28/10/22, back-to-back.
Round 1 – Technical
Platform: Zoom and CodeSignal
Duration: 30 mins

• Questions: 1 Coding, a Few Operating System Questions, and about projects
• Coding Question: Segregate positive integers on one side and negative ones to another in an array, O(1) space. 
• Follow up: Maintain the original order (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/segregating-negative-and-positive-maintaining-order-and-o1-space/) 

Round 2 – Technical
Platform: Zoom and CodeSignal
Duration: 30 mins

• Questions: 1 Coding, a Few Network Questions, and about internships
• Coding Question: Longest Substring with K Distinct Characters (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/find-the-longest-substring-with-k-unique-characters-in-a-given-string/)
  Solved it with a sliding window approach 

Around 6 proceeded to the last round.

Round 3: HM Round
Platform: Zoom 
Duration: 30 mins

• I expected Behavioral Questions but wasn’t asked any. In-depth Questions on Operating Systems and Networks were asked.

Two were selected for Internship+FTE.

Tips: Know your OS concepts well, the IPCs in Linux, and the Networking concepts well, I can’t stress the importance of the OSI Model enough.
