CloudKaptan Interview Experience

For those of you who don’t know about the company, CloudKaptan is an IT Consultancy based in Kolkata with a current employee count of 73 (after the 2021 placement). Started its operation in 2014, it works on Salesforce and Force.com platform.

There were 6 rounds. All of those were held online:

  1. Aptitude Test (Easy to medium level questions on ratio, profit & loss, percentage)
  2. Online Coding Round (1 hr for two coding questions held on the same day)
    • Sort an array in ascending order up to an index and then sort the rest of the array in descending order.
    • Magic Number
  3. Technical Interview 1 (1/2 hr of one-to-one video interview where mainly Java & OOPS related questions are asked)
    • OOPS Concept
    • JDK-JRE-JVM Comparison
    • final, finally, finalize differences
    • static & constant
    • Abstract Class & Interface
    • At last, I was asked to write a program on Exception Handling
  4. Technical Interview 2 (1.5-2 hrs of the online coding interview – all in Java, freedom of language selection is not given)
    • To find the nth node in a linked list (full code)
    • To rotate a matrix by 180° and print the sum of its diagonal elements
    • Though I was not so comfortable in Java, the interviewers were pretty supportive and cleared all my doubts
    • It’s all about asking the right questions and the way you approach the problem
  5. HR (15 mins of the one-to-one interview on HR questions)
    • About your family
    • Why do you want to join CK? Why not any other MNCs?
    • Past interviews, you have given and why were you not selected?
  6. CEO Round (15 mins of the session where the CEO himself, Mr. Manoj Agarwal takes the interview)
    • He just asked me to tell about myself for 15 mins non-stop
    • He was pretty supportive and helped me to move on whenever I was stuck

All rounds are eliminative. After every round, interviewers ask if the candidates have any questions for them. Make sure you ask relevant questions to improve your understanding of the company. 14 candidates were selected from Techno colleges all over West Bengal including me.
