Round 1: Online Test (Platform used: SHL): The first round was an Online Test containing three Sections:

  • Business Case Study Questions (12 Questions: 25 Minutes): Business Case Study questions were medium-level. To find conclusions and appropriate choices from the given case study passages. There were charts and graphs also to show the statistical information and we had to analyze them for correct answers.
  • SQL and DBMS Questions (12 Questions: 15 Minutes): SQL and DBMS questions were also medium levels which included concepts of joins nested queries, views, authorization commands, etc.
  • Aptitude and Reasoning Questions (15 Questions: 20 Minutes): Aptitude and Reasoning were a little hard and tricky to solve. Questions on Numerical Calculations and Pattern Analyzing were there.

Round 2: Technical / Personal Interview: Firstly, Interviewer asked me to go through my resume.

  • This round was entirely based on my projects and algorithms which I had used in my projects.
  • I have done 2 tasks, first was Diabetes Prediction using Machine Learning Techniques (SVM and Logistic Regression), and second was Face Recognition and Automatic Attendance System using Deep Neural Networks (CNN).
  • The interviewer asked how I can improve the accuracy of my model of Face Recognition.
  • Then, he asked me to rate myself in SQL and DBMS domains.
  • Since I had prepared SQL up to Windows Functions, Triggers, Cursors, Views, etc. and I mentioned many achievements in SQL and Database, in my resume, I rated myself 4/5.
  • After that, he wish me the best of luck and ended the round.

Round 3: Technical / Personal Interview: Here, again Interviewer asked me to introduce myself.

  • This round was based on my Machine Learning and SQL knowledge. It was fully Technical since the interviewer asked me about my models’ accuracy and about the Confusion Matrix (which I had used in my project to elaborate on the accuracy of the model).
  • His instinct was to know how much my concepts are evident in analyzing the Confusion Matrix.
  • After that, he asked me SQL questions. He asked to write queries for two tables.
  • He provided two tables (Customer, and Transaction) and the first question was to select those customers who didn’t make any transactions.
  • After that, he asked me to select the top two platforms in the Transaction table where the maximum amount of transactions took place.
  • I answered using sum, group by, order by, and limit clauses. Then he rephrased the question as, select the name of customers also, for those top two platforms.
  • I answered by using Windows Function (Row Number).
  • Then he ended his technical questionnaire, asked me why I am interested to join this profile, and ended the session by wishing me the best of luck.

Round 4: HR Interview

  • HR Round was very normal and friendly.
  • She asked me about myself my family background, how much did I know about the company, about my interest in Data Analysis.
  • After that, she asked about my preferred location to work.
  • I asked her about my performance and how will I utilize my machine-learning knowledge in the company.
  • Finally, the complete process of the interview Ended.
